Case Study
Production: Gran Turismo (Sony Pictures)
Location: Hungaroring, VIP Restaurant
Service: High-resolution indoor LED wall and set integration
The Challenge
The magic of film shoots lies in transforming reality. The Gran Turismo crew needed to create a futuristic "Player's Lounge" for the racers, reminiscent of the PlayStation world. However, the available location was one of the Hungaroring's traditional VIP restaurants. The task: how to turn a catering unit into a high-tech gamer bunker so that it looks completely authentic on camera?
The Solution: Digital Transformation
The ADAM team worked closely with the set designers, using technology to "erase" the original location:
- Redefining the Space: A huge, razor-sharp indoor LED wall became the central element of the room. This immediately diverted attention from the original walls and created the "simulator center" atmosphere.
- Pixel-Perfect Background: Since the actors moved and conversed directly in front of the display during the scenes, we could not use average resolution. We installed extra fine pitch panels so that the pixels would not be visible in close-up shots (avoiding a "mosquito net" effect).
- Play of Lights: The brightness of the LED wall was perfectly coordinated with the blue and purple neon tubes used in the set, ensuring the screen didn't overexpose the scene but harmoniously blended into the "Play Has No Limits" design.
Results in Numbers
- Complete transformation: The restaurant became a filming location in 1 day.
- Near 4K resolution for the perfect background.
- Flicker-free technology for slow-motion shots.
Crew Feedback
"It was incredible to see how technology changed the space. The LED wall was not just a background, but the main character of the set, which set the tone for both the actors and the audience. – Set Dec
