The Challenge
Salon Budapest is not a traditional fair, but a premium interior design exhibition where design and interiors are the protagonists. The huge, industrial-like hall of the Sport Arena and the usual cold hall lighting had to be forgotten by visitors. The task: to create an intimate, theatrical atmosphere where every single exhibitor's interior shines like a work of art.
The Solution: Light Dramaturgy
ADAM took a radical step:
- Arena Plunged into Darkness: We turned off the general lighting of the Sport Arena, causing the space to "disappear" and eliminating the hall character.
- Focused Lighting: Every single booth and installation was individually lit with theatrical lights. This "spotlight" technique highlighted the texture, colors, and shapes of the furniture, while the aisles remained in a mysterious twilight.
- Cinematic Experience: Visitors were not walking through a trade fair, but a gigantic film set, where after every turn, they were greeted by a new, perfectly lit "scene" (room interior).
Results in Numbers
- Control of 200+ theatrical lights.
